In our previous post, we asked you to help us in contributing the cause of DEPED CDO to give school supplies to the Hinterland Barangays in Cagayan de Oro. We wish to thank everybody who helped us. These set of school supplies were already turned over to DEPED CDO for distribution!

Gasa Ko, Paglaom Mo

We are calling everyone's support once again for an outreach project for the hinterland schools in Cagayan de Oro. This time, we are supporting the School Supplies Drive of the DEPED Division of Cagayan de Oro.      For interested contributors, please donate the following school supplies and place them in a plastic envelope: 1 notebook, 1 pad paper (any grade level), 1 pencil, 1 sharpener, 1 box of 8 crayons.     Also, please include an inspiring letter for the receiver of your donation.     Thank you so much! :)

School Supplies Donation in Taglimao Elementary School

Taglimao Elementary School is one of the far-flung schools in one of the hinterland Barangays in Cagayan de Oro and it is one of the beneficiaries in our School Supplies Drive. We have chosen the school as one of our beneficiaries because the students needed school supplies. As reported by Teacher Quette, some of her students don't have materials because their families couldn't afford to buy or don't have the capacity or resources to go downtown to buy the needed school supplies. Teacher Quette even shells out money from her own pocket to provide supplies for her students.  ( Students of Taglimao ES walk to reach their school) So, we gladly shared our blessings by helping Teacher Quette with the school supplies to be used by her pupils this school year through a School Supplies Drive. We weren't able to go to the school to personally give the supplies due to conflict of schedule but Teacher Quette gladly received the donations.  Seei

This time, we helped the Junior Chamber International Kagayhaan Gold (JCI-KG)chapter in its Brigada Eskwela 2016. Partnering with JCI-KG, along with its other partners (Ayala Foundation Inc., Liceo Dragonoids and Marymount Academy teachers), we were able to help prepare Gusa Elementary School for the incoming school year 2016-2017. In the photo: Members of JCI-KG to which two (Owen, Roxanne) are front  liners of Teachers' Initiatives as well. Last June 3, 2016, a Turn-Over Ceremony was conducted to which we were able to donate a computer set, toothpastes, school supplies and faucets. The program was attended by the partners, school administrators and teachers. We look forward to a great year ahead!

Christmas Gift Giving at House of Joy Foundation

This is long overdue but we just would like to share to you our project last December. Teachers' Initiatives became a partner to Gusa Elementary School 's outreach activity wherein we held a Christmas party for the abandoned kids in House of Joy Children's Foundation . We prepared games and activities for the kids and the kids also presented some dances to all of us. We also gave them gifts in the end, as per Christmas tradition. We would like to have this kind of activities in the future. If you would like to partner with us, please contact us here .
